Why We Built Litewave

Founding

At Litewave, we are on a mission to modernize regulated manufacturing, industries where trust, precision, and traceability are non-negotiable.

Our journey began at HPE GreenLake, where Anil, Sonu, and Tejaswi built global-scale cloud platforms and partnered with some of the world’s largest manufacturers.

What we saw was striking: despite ambitious digital transformation goals, these companies couldn’t access the tools and capabilities that tech companies take for granted. Their data was scattered across siloed systems, handwritten logs, scanned documents, and factory-floor machines. They lacked the foundational data fabric necessary to harness the power of AI.

Vision

Even when AI was introduced, deploying domain-specific models securely, at the edge, on the floor, or in validated cloud environments, required expertise from multiple vendors, systems integrators, and services teams.

What started as promising initiatives quickly became over-engineered projects, burdened by complexity, blown budgets, and missed timelines. Ambitions were scaled down. Innovation stalled.

We saw these patterns repeat across pharma, food, and other regulated sectors. In parallel, we were designing secure, compliance-grade cloud environments for U.S. DISA, gaining firsthand experience in the complexities of deploying in environments where data sovereignty, high security, regulatory compliance, and system validation are non-negotiable.

Growth

At the same time, our co-founders Yash and Savi, roommates at UC Berkeley, were exploring next-generation AI agents capable of reasoning across documents, sensors, video, and machine data. They envisioned a new kind of multi-modal intelligence that could bring the world’s “dark data” to light.

We realized we were all trying to solve the same problem from different angles.
So we teamed up to build Litewave.
